It was such a long night last night. Yesterday me and my mom when for our evening power walk, afterwards we stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few things. So we almost finished at the store and my mom gets a phone call, I can tell in her voice that something is up. So she turns to me and says, Uh we've got to go pick up you brother and tells me the location. We went to go pick him up no more than two miles from where we were, we pull up to the entrance to the local shopping center and my Brother Steven and his friend Ricardo are sitting on the floor with their backs against a concrete embankment. As I get closer to my brother I can see that he had an accident and fell off of his bike, then my eyes were pulled to his right collar bone, I can see through his shirt that something is a raised, well his whole right shoulder was raised, but nothing had broken through the skin. Steven is smiling and joking around trying to not think about the pain his shoulder is giving him. I told him that he was going to have to go to the ER, he of course was not thrilled about that at all. He immediately told me " Don't tell me what it looks like Lisa. I don't want to know." So mom and me took Steven to the ER where we waited for seven very long hours, and it was freezing in there. Well it turns out that my little bro has an AC separation, very painful, now he has to go see and orthopedic doctor for further evaluation. So we got home after four this morning, so I went into work very late and it was crazy there too. But I had some of our regular and very sweet patients today, so all and all it was all okay.
